I am currently 10 weeks after receiving an XLIF under Mr Pal. 5 years previously I had a L4 L5 conventional fusion. On this occasion I was discharged the day after the procedure which was much sooner than my original fusion. Now 10 weeks on I am feeling much better, and do not have any of the back and leg pain I was experiencing before my operation. I had experienced numbness and sensativety around the area of intervention but this is subsiding also. My outlook now is more positive and I am finnally able to get back to a more normal life.
