Over several years and after ever increasing doses of painkillers, my sciatic and lower back pain had deteriorated to the point that it impacted every aspect of my life. After having a scan that diagnosed severe spinal stenosis and spondylolisthesis and which recommended surgery, I began to research who specialised in Neurosurgery. I am so glad to say that as a result, a consultation was arranged to see Mr Pal.

I had my surgery 8 weeks ago and Mr Pal carried out XLIF at L3/4 along with instrumented fixation and fusion with decompression, which took place at the LGI.

After a couple of days of truly excellent care by Mr Pal and his team, I was discharged and was so grateful to be free of my previously unbearable pain.

Whist following post-surgical advice, I`m very happy to say that I am now getting back to enjoying everyday activities like grandparent duties, walking and exercise. I cannot adequately express my thanks and heartfelt gratitude for the truly life changing surgery of Mr Pal and the care and support of his outstanding team, nursing and administration staff.
