On 8th October, 2021 I had lumbar decompressive surgery at L3/4 and awoke from the anaesthetic painfree. What a wonderful release after weeks of considerable pain and extreme discomfort! I realised immediately that I could now contemplate living life to the full once again without the debillitating presence of sciatica. I can now look forward to an active ninth decade of world travel, interacting with my grandchildren and busy social calendar.
