Paul Norcross – Testimonial
I arrived at Leeds General Infirmary under blue light conditions from Huddersfield Hospital . I was seen straight away by Mr Pal due to the nature of my spinal condition at that stage. I had lost all feeling in my legs below the knee and also urininary and bowel movement.
Mr Pal after extensive questioning and consultation made me ready for an immediate operation . The operation took place after a slight delay due to a patient arriving with a condition worse than mine completely understandable .
Having woken up I was able to say that within 4 days I was pain free but not able to move very much. However over the following weeks, feeling to my limbs is started to return. I was then transferred to Pinderfields Hospital and then started having physiotherapy to continue my recovery.
I am now at home after 9 weeks and I am able to walk using sticks. It maybe a little ungainly at the moment but from where I was to where I an is a gulf and without my operation by Mr Pal I would have been in a far worse place . I would like to say that words alone cannot describe my inner feeling. Thank you seems insufficient in this case but is all I am able to say ....Thank you once again to you and your team. I will look forward to seeing you agian in your clinic covid restrictions permitting .....Paul
