Over 30 years ago I suffered a back injury which gave pain in my back and down my left leg. My GP referred me to a consultant who wanted to operate, I decided against this and managed the pain using an Osteopath. In March 2017, the problem got worse with pain also in my right leg, I was unable to put my socks on or tie my shoe laces. My GP referred me to a consultant, but after a couple of consultations felt that I was not getting anywhere. I decided to find my own consultant, and found Mr Pal through his website. I was impressed by his background, testimonials and the fact that his field of interest was spinal surgery. After my consultation with Mr Pal, I knew I had made the right decision. I had my surgery in January of 2018, where Mr Pal removed two damaged discs, inserted titanium cages, and performed spinal fusion. The care I received from Mr Pal and his team was outstanding, the next day I was able to stand and walk and I was discharged from hospital 48 hours later. At home I went for a walk every day, and returned to driving and work two weeks later. At my four week consultation Mr Pal referred me for physiotherapy with Physiocure at Cookridge Hall. I am making continual progress, I am free of the back and leg pain, I am taller and my posture is better, my life has returned to normal. I cannot speak highly enough of Mr Pal and his team.
